This is my 1959 17' Lyman outboard which was owned by my late Uncle. My Uncle purchased this boat in 1966 & I have many wonderful family memories of it coming to our rescue when my dads boat broke down frequently! This was my Uncles favorite boat and I understand why.

The photo of removal shows it being pulled from his garage in May of 2016 after sitting dormant since about 1980!

Another photo shows the removal of fiberglass & red silicone from between the interior strakes. I guess this was a prior unsuccessful leak repair attempt! I'm almost done with this job!

 And the last photo of the Lyman topside structure shows me working on the take off, of all the decking due to the discovery of powder post beetle damage!

 I'm still working on this Lyman and hope to have it ready by summer of 2021.
