Ninnyfish is a 13’ 6” Lyman Leader, ordered and built in 1949, delivered in 1950. She now belongs to me and my husband, Sue Haigh and Dana Bromley.

My father ordered the boat for his young family of 4 in 1949 in Dallas Texas.   The boat provided the family entertainment every weekend and on camping excursions, and went with them from Texas to California, and back to Pennsylvania. My mother kept great photo albums. When Dad died in 1964 my oldest brother Sam inherited the boat, and he took it through the early part of his career, then my older brother Tom inherited the boat and he took it with him, and finally it passed to me.  I brought it to Vermont and had it restored by Snake Mountain Boatworks in 2016.  I figured any boat that has been through life with us that long, and has given us so much joy and so many stories to tell deserves restoration.  I get a serious thrill every time I get in the Ninnyfish, and it amazes me that the same feeling has been experienced by my the rest of my family before I was born.
